All the information you could ever want...

Below is all the info you should need regarding the hotel in Pittsburgh and stuff you should try and remember to bring with you for the trip. We've overdone it with maps and links and PDF's so if you still manage to get yourself lost then you should probably reconsider being behind the wheel in the first place. Sell your car and buy yourself a bus pass, it'll be way easier on the rest of us.

We're trying to set up a LBR GTG once we're all down in OC so as we figure things out we'll make sure to post up the details. There will also be info included with your rally schwag.

If you've got any questions or are unsure of something jump on over to the Vortex and ask in the LBR thread. Someone's bound to have an answer, and if they don't, rest assured someone will make something up.

  • Stage 2 Rest Stop #2

The second scheduled stop for Stage 2 is where we will meet up with folks from the East Coast.

We are also currently trying to finalize the location for the Stage 2 Rest Stop #1. We have a location in mind, but just need to verify that we'll all be able to fit into the lot. Then just need to map it all out and calculate distances and times etc...

Man, are we hooking you up or what? if you can't find your way down there and back now something is seriously wrong with you!

Hotel in Pittsburgh...

Well, fuck it, we're going back. We have arranged for a block of 25 rooms at the Red Roof Inn in Monroeville, so book as soon as possible. Please contact the hotel reservations department at the number below and let them know you are with the Long Ball Rally (Block Code B174Rally) when you book your room so that you get the correct rates. You must book by Sept. 1st to get these rates!!!!

  • Red Roof Inn Pittsburgh East - Monroeville (#174)
  • I-76 at William Penn Highway, Exit #57
  • 2729 Mosside Boulevard
  • Monroeville, PA 15146
  • (412) 856-4738
  • Thurs the 23rd
  • $47.99 for the night but this is a 2 double bed room so jam four people in if you can, also you need to tell them your with a group and the Block Code is B174Rally. Rooms need to be booked by Sept 1st or they're not guaranteed to be available. We'll be staying here again on the way home, so if you're planning on making the drive back with us on Monday, I'd suggest going ahead and booking for Monday at the same time. I'm not 100% sure if the same rate will apply, but it should.

And, as is always the case, there will be pizza and beer and some partying in the parking lot again this year so once we're there we can all kick back and relax and do trade some war stories etc.

Hotel in Ocean City...

Well, unfortunately, you’re on your own here. With so many people attending H2Oi the hotels and condos book up REALLY fast and it's just too difficult to secure a block of rooms anywhere. We suggest getting your ass in to the LBR thread on the Vortex and finding out where others are staying and trying to get somewhere close to them. Shit, do we have to do everything for you people? WTF? haha!!

We're trying to get a few things organized so that once we’re all down in OC we can meet up and hang out a bit more though. So stay tuned for more info on our OC LBR09 GTG!!!

Things to remember to bring...

GPS. Towels, toilet paper and bedding (most condos in OC do not supply towels or bedding so bring your own just in case). Booze. Cash for the tolls (expect to pay a pretty penny for tolls because they get expensive - if you have an iPass it should be good for all the tolls though with the new EZPass system). Booze. Some type of walk-about radio if you have one (makes for easier communication throughout the caravan while we're rollin). Booze. Sun Screen. Booze. Money. Booze. Camera. GPS. Charger for your cell phone.
